(registered 2026-10-13, last updated 2026-10-13) URI scheme name: iqa Status: Provisional Applications/protocols that use this scheme name: The IQA (Identity Quality Assurance) certification layer of the Aicent Stack - a subject-attestation scheme in which a sovereign identity is audited and issued a 256-bit Radiant Seal by a certification authority. An iqa URI references the attestation standing of a subject as reported by one of the three certification organs. Used by the IQA reference implementation and by tooling that cites attestations in documents and configuration. Scheme syntax: iqa://../ subject = 8 lowercase hex digits (AID routing hash), or 32/64 lowercase hex digits (128-/256-bit AID), or a human-readable token [a-z0-9-]+ organ = "forge" / "tss" / "gateway" (RFC-009-A / -B / -C) root = sovereign root label e.g. iqa action = "verify" / "audit" / "attest" / "revoke" (optional) Lowercase US-ASCII only. The scheme defines no userinfo, port, query or fragment. Dereferencing a URI without an "action" performs a read-only standing lookup and is a safe operation (RFC 7595, Section 3.4). Of the defined actions, "verify" is likewise read-only, while "audit", "attest" and "revoke" are state-transitioning and are explicitly not reachable by dereferencing a URI. On naming (RFC 7595, Section 3.8): the acronym is not the computer-vision field of Image Quality Assessment, and it is not affiliated with the historical UK Institute of Quality Assurance. A naming note to that effect appears in the specification, References [1].
